在经当地媒体曝光后，此事立刻在高密帖吧和天涯论坛上引起了网友们的关注，而当地警方的做法也遭到了部分网友的质疑，争议主要集中在对“虚假信息”的认定上。一名网友甚至表示，警方在言论自由方面的尺度把握值得商榷，“希望强力部门不要制造一个人人自危的社会和舆论环境”。
网友认为，“SS山地师”只是一个普通的网友，他是转帖，贴在流量很小的地方性的高密贴吧，不到一天就被删了，没多少人看到。很难说他“散布谣言故意扰乱公共秩序”。
很多网友把此次事件和去年山东济南“红钻帝国”事件相提并论，展开激烈的争论。
有一点奇怪的是，据高密吧资深网友透露，“SS山地师”被处以的是拘留5天，但是这个ID只沉寂了3天，就于5月3日重新发帖，很简短地跟了几个帖子，以至于有高密吧资深网友怀疑发帖的不是他本人。

记者昨天晚上9时许曾就此电话联系了高密市公安局治安大队副大队长鲁晓，但对方已休息为由拒绝了记者的采访。而“SS山地师”的手机则已停机。
■被抓前的轨迹
“SS山地师”是百度高密贴吧和二战贴吧的常客，甚至可以说是个“名人”。他是高密人，喜欢军事，特别是二战。他在贴吧里很活跃，在过去的1年半时间里，发了将近3500条帖子和跟帖。

们很爽快地表示同意。
　　没想到会有这样的安排，存在家中座机电脑里的材料我都没有转存到我带到会上的手提电脑里。等于是两手空空。
　　好在房间里可以上网，也知道哪里最容易找到好用的鲜活材料。我赶紧上双/石/茶/庄。
　　从他那里下载了几个材料，又从我自己的博客里下载了几个材料。
　　发言时间只有15分钟，不能太长。大会是同声传译，为了保证效果，最好找有双语的材料。因为有很多外宾，所以拿出来的材料，应该是他们在国外接触不到的观点和声音。

　　上午还有会。只能在中午匆匆忙忙把这些材料堆到一起。要赶在下午两点大会开始前把材料给同传，所以连剪辑删节的时间都没有。把23页的原始材料统统打印出来，大致划掉不要的部分，跟同传说了个大体的次序，就开始开会了。
　　最后，我筛选出了三个我认为有代表性的声音。
　　第一个就是从双石茶庄那里淘来的藏族网民无敌哥的声音。我告诉大家，他4月8日在铁血论坛上给他几个参加了骚乱的儿时朋友发了这封公开信，两天之内就有5000多跟帖，其中很多来自藏族和其他少数民族同胞，支持无敌哥的帖子占压倒多数。现在不到两星期，点击已经超过20万。有网友义务将他的公开信翻译成英文--我给同传的，就是这个网名“clear head”的网友的文本。
　　由于时间关系，我只念了无敌哥公开信的标题“我身为藏族，可我为我的某些同胞感到不齿！”以及下面几段：

There were some boats and barges astrand in the mud, and these enabled us to come within a few yards of her without being seen. 　　常发怒气冲冲地几步走到陈发海面前：“你是咋搞的？连个大活人都看不好，还有脸给首长做警卫员？”
　　陈发海感到委屈：“大姐要上茅厕，我能跟进去吗？”
　　常发喝道：“少扯你的蛋！今天要是出点儿事，老子废了你！”
